Raymond Fohr

Raymond Fohr has more than six years of experience developing innovative communications campaigns targeting Latino audiences. His client roster includes work for AT&T, Procter & Gamble, Ford Motor Co. and the Federal Trade Commission, as well as pro-bono work for the Hispanic Scholarship Fund and United Way.

Before joining Fleishman-Hillard, Mr. Fohr served as senior director for Carreño Group, a political consulting and public relations firm, where he managed comprehensive political, marketing, and issue-advocacy campaigns for clients including the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America and the National Rifle Association, as well as Houston City Council, Mayoral, and U.S. Congressional candidates.

While at Carreño Group, Mr. Fohr was instrumental in the roll-out of the ground-breaking National Rifle Association’s Hispanic campaign, their first ever to target Latino audiences. He developed components that included comprehensive grassroots operations, radio and print creative.

Previously, Mr. Fohr was employed by The Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau, where he served as media relations coordinator, running programs to establish Houston as the best destination for tourism and conventions. During his tenure at the Bureau, Mr. Fohr designed comprehensive media campaigns and developed strong relationships with U.S. Hispanic and Latin American media.

Mr. Fohr’s professional experience includes two years with Telemundo Houston, where he developed local public relations and promotional initiatives, and conducted market research dealing with issues important to Houston’s Latino community.

Mr. Fohr is a volunteer member and committee co-chair for the Houston Association of Hispanic Media Professionals, a 16 year old organization that works to provide scholarships for Houston area Latino students. He also served pro-bono as Hispanic Public Relations Specialist for the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, International Center for the Arts of the Americas, a center dedicated to highlighting the work of Latino artists through exhibitions, publications, and lectures.
